Ingredients

– 2 lbs chicken, cut into serving pieces

– 1 minced onion

– 2 teaspoons garlic

– 2 cups chicken broth

– 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste

– 1 large baking potato, cubed

– 1 large carrot, cubed

– 4 dried bay leaves (optional)

– 1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 3 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

1-First, prepare all ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables and cutting chicken into pieces.

2-Second, heat 3 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pot, then sautΓ© the minced onion and 2 teaspoons of garlic until fragrant.

3-Third, add the chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.

4-Fourth, pour in 2 cups of chicken broth and add the 6 oz can of tomato paste; stir to combine.

5-Fifth, add 4 dried bay leaves and 1/2 teaspoon sugar if desired, then cover and simmer on low heat for about 35 minutes.

6-Sixth, add the cubed potato and carrot, stir, cover, and cook on medium heat for 8 to 10 minutes.

7-Seventh, season with salt and pepper to taste, then transfer to a serving bowl and serve.
