Instructions

1-First: Preheat and Prep: Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF and place a baking sheet on the center rack. Open the cinnamon roll tubes without separating the dough and reserve the glaze. Using a serrated knife, slice each roll into 1/4-inch thickness by cutting each roll into thirds crosswise, producing 28 to 30 slices. 2-Arrange the Dough: On parchment paper dusted lightly with flour, arrange the rolls into a flower shape by placing one round in the center and surrounding it with six to eight rounds to form a 7- to 8-inch circle. Fill gaps with half-slices to create a 9-inch circle. Cover with another parchment sheet and roll to an 11-inch round. Invert this dough over the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate. Repeat with the remaining dough for a 10-inch round top crust, saving scraps for later use. No need to grease the pie plate due to the doughโ€™s non-stick quality.

3-Mix and Fill: In a large bowl, mix the apples with the sugar, pie spice, and three tablespoons of flour. Place the apple mixture in the bottom crust and dot with the two tablespoons of salted butter. Cover with the top crust and pinch to seal edges, trimming and folding for a half-inch overhang.

4-Bake and Finish: Cover the pie edges with foil strips and tent the top with foil. Bake for 45 minutes, remove the top foil but keep edges covered, and bake another 20 to 25 minutes until golden. Let cool for 10 minutes, then drizzle with the reserved glaze and cool for at least one hour before serving.
