๐Ÿ”ฅ Enjoy a flavorful and hearty Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Chili that brings spicy comfort with minimal effort.
๐Ÿฒ Perfect for busy days or gatherings, this recipe offers a creamy twist with cream cheese for added richness and depth.

  • Total Time: 4 hours 15 minutes (high) or 8 hours 15 minutes (low)
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground chicken

– 15 oz (about 425 g) canned white navy beans drained and rinsed

– 14.5 oz (about 411 g) can fire roasted tomatoes drained

– 2 cups (480 ml) chicken broth

– 1/4 to 1/2 cup (60 to 120 ml) buffalo wing sauce

– 1 cup (about 150 g) frozen corn kernels

– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

– 1/2 teaspoon celery salt

– 1/2 teaspoon dried cilantro

– 1/4 teaspoon salt

– 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese

– Blue cheese crumbles optional for topping

Instructions

1-First, brown the ground chicken completely in a skillet over medium heat until it’s no longer pink. This step locks in the flavor and ensures everything cooks evenly later. Once done, transfer it to your slow cooker.

2-Next, add the drained white navy beans, fire roasted tomatoes, chicken broth, buffalo wing sauce (starting with 1/4 cup), frozen corn kernels, onion powder, garlic powder, celery salt, dried cilantro, and salt. Stir everything together to mix well, making sure all those flavors start to blend.

3-Then, place the block of cream cheese on top of the mixture without stirring it in yet. Cover the slow cooker and let it cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. The slow cooking process allows the ingredients to meld into a creamy, spicy delight.

4-After cooking, stir the cream cheese into the chili until it’s fully incorporated and creamy. Taste and adjust the buffalo wing sauce to your preferred spice level it might need a bit more for that extra kick. Finally, serve it up hot with optional blue cheese crumbles on top for a tasty finish. This method gives the chili its thicker consistency, setting it apart from soups or traditional chili styles.

Notes

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ Adjust buffalo wing sauce amount according to your preferred spice level.
๐Ÿ— Substitute ground chicken with ground beef or cook and shred chicken tenderloins directly in the slow cooker for variations.
โ„๏ธ Avoid freezing this chili as cream cheese may separate upon thawing, affecting texture.
