Instructions

1-First Step: Set up a gentle double boiler. Place a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water. Add the 7 ounces bittersweet chocolate chips (or about 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips, with raw cacao wafers preferred if you have them).

2-Second Step: Melt the chocolate slowly. Stir frequently with a silicone spatula to prevent burning. Heat just until the chips look fully melted and glossy.

3-Third Step: Stir in the 2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil. Keep stirring and heat until the oil is dissolved, about 1 minute.

4-Fourth Step: Turn off the heat and remove the bowl from the double boiler. Let it cool for a few seconds so it stays pourable, not too hot.
