🍯 This Honey Butter Skillet Corn recipe combines sweet honey and creamy butter for a delightful side dish bursting with flavor.
🌽 Quick and easy to make, it’s a perfect complement to any meal, offering a satisfying balance of sweet and savory.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

2 tablespoons salted butter (use unsalted butter + extra salt if preferred)

2 tablespoons honey

1 bag (16 oz) frozen corn (gold and white, sweet yellow, or white corn)

2 ounces cream cheese, cut into chunks

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1-Gather all ingredients and pre-measure for smooth workflow. If using frozen corn, no need to thaw it first; it cooks up great directly from the bag.

2-Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter (or vegan substitute). Allow it to melt and start to foam, which takes just a minute or two.

3-Add the frozen corn to the skillet, spreading it evenly. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is heated through and starts to char a bit for that sweet flavor.

4-Drizzle honey over the corn and stir well to coat. Continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes so the honey glazes everything nicely.

5-Then, add the cream cheese chunks, salt, and black pepper. Stir continuously until the cream cheese melts and the mixture turns creamy, about 3 to 5 minutes it’s like magic watching it come together.

6-Remove from heat and serve warm. For vegan or low-calorie versions, use the alternative ingredients in place of traditional ones and adjust as needed.

❄️ Frozen corn can be used straight from the freezer without thawing.
πŸ§€ Use softened cream cheese for easier melting to avoid clumps.
🌢️ Enhance the flavor with optional additions like jalapeños, cayenne pepper, or parmesan cheese.
