๐Ÿฏ This Hot Honey Glazed Ham recipe combines sweet and spicy flavors for a deliciously unique twist on a classic holiday dish.
๐Ÿ”ฅ Its moist and flavorful glaze infuses the ham, making it perfect for festive meals and special occasions.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 10 minutes
  • Yield: 20 servings

Ingredients

– 8-10 pound fully cooked bone-in spiral ham

– 1 cup chicken stock or water to keep the ham moist during baking

– 1 cup hot honey

– 4 tablespoons butter (1/2 stick)

– 1/2 cup light brown sugar

– 2 tablespoons mustard preferably hot or Creole mustard

– 1 tablespoon garlic powder

– Salt to taste

– Black pepper to taste

Instructions

1-Prepare the ham: by baking it uncovered at 325ยฐF for 90 minutes to heat it through while allowing the flavors to develop.

2-While the ham bakes, combine the glaze ingredients in a small pot: 1 cup hot honey, 4 tablespoons butter, 1/2 cup light brown sugar, 2 tablespoons mustard, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, and salt and black pepper to taste. Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

3-After the initial baking, brush the ham with half of the glaze and add 1 cup of chicken stock or water to the roasting pan to keep the meat moist.

4-Continue baking for another 30 minutes, brushing occasionally with the remaining glaze until the internal temperature reaches 140ยฐF (60ยฐC) for perfectly tender and flavorful ham.

5-Once done, remove the ham from the oven, let it cool slightly, carve it into slices, and brush with any leftover glaze for an extra burst of flavor. For variations, check out this delicious dessert recipe to pair with your meal for a complete spread.
