Instructions
1- Rinse jalapenos thoroughly and remove stems; wash hands after handling peppers to avoid irritation.
2- In a pan, sautΓ© roughly chopped 1/2 onion and peeled garlic cloves in oil over medium heat until the onion starts to brown for added sweetness.
3- Add Mexican oregano, freshly cracked black pepper, and cumin if using; cook briefly until fragrant to build deeper flavors.
4- Add jalapenos, white vinegar, water, and salt to the pan and bring to a simmer to meld the ingredients together.
