πŸ– Korean BBQ Beef Bowls offer a flavorful marinade that brings tender, juicy beef to your table.
πŸ₯— This dish balances savory beef with simple fresh sides for a quick, satisfying meal.

  • Total Time: 65 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

– 1/2 yellow onion, diced

– 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

– 2/3 cup homemade Korean BBQ sauce

– 2 cups cooked jasmine rice

– Spicy Korean slaw

– Cucumber ribbons or slices

– 6 fried eggs

– Sliced green onions

– Sriracha

Instructions

1-First, spray a nonstick skillet with olive oil and add the diced onion, minced ginger, minced garlic, and a pinch of kosher salt. SautΓ© on medium-low heat for 5-8 minutes until the ingredients become tender and aromatic. This step builds the base flavor for your Korean Bbq Beef.

2-Next, add the 1 1/2 pounds of lean ground beef to the skillet and break it up with a wooden spoon. Turn the heat to medium-high and cook until the beef is no longer pink, ensuring it’s evenly browned. Then, pour in the 2/3 cup of homemade Korean BBQ sauce, stir well, and heat thoroughly to blend the flavors.

3-Once the beef is ready, assemble your bowls by starting with 2 cups of cooked jasmine rice as the base. Top it with the Korean BBQ beef mixture, spicy Korean slaw, cucumber ribbons or slices, and one of the 6 fried eggs per serving. Finally, garnish with sliced green onions and sriracha to taste for a personalized touch.

Notes

🌢️ Use sriracha sparingly; the egg yolk adds natural creaminess and balances the spice.
πŸ§‚ Sprinkle kosher salt on top for an added crunch and flavor boost.
