πŸ• Pepperoni Calzone Recipe Easy Homemade Italian Pepperoni Turnover offers a fun and delicious way to enjoy classic pepperoni pizza flavors wrapped in a crispy, golden crust.
πŸ₯– This simple recipe is perfect for homemade meals, allowing you to customize fillings and enjoy fresh, warm calzones right from your oven.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 calzones 1x

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup chopped pepperoni

1/2 cup pasta sauce with meat

1/4 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

1 loaf (1 pound) frozen bread dough, thawed prior to use

1 to 2 tablespoons 2% milk

1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

1-First, start by preheating your oven to 350Β°F. In a small bowl, mix together the chopped pepperoni, pasta sauce, and mozzarella cheese to create the filling. This step blends the flavors perfectly, ensuring every bite is packed with taste. Use a spoon to combine them evenly for the best results.

2-Next, on a lightly floured surface, divide the thawed bread dough into four equal portions. Roll each one into a 6-inch circle, which makes it easy to fold over the filling. Spoon about 1/3 cup of the pepperoni mixture onto each circle, then fold the dough over and pinch the edges to seal. Place them on a greased baking sheet to prepare for baking.

3-Now, brush the tops with 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk for a nice golden finish. Sprinkle on the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning if you’re using it. Slide the baking sheet into the oven and bake until the calzones turn golden brown, which takes about 20 to 25 minutes. Let them cool a bit before serving to avoid burns and enjoy the full flavor.
