🌢️ Cajun Burgers bring a spicy kick and rich flavor, making them a perfect choice for those who love bold and vibrant tastes.
πŸ” This recipe combines easy homemade tips and quality ingredients to create juicy, flavorful burgers that are sure to impress.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 3 burgers

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef

– 1 egg yolk

– 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

– 1/4 cup fine sourdough breadcrumbs

– 1 1/2 teaspoons Cajun or blackening seasoning

– 1 teaspoon Kosher salt (omit if Cajun seasoning has salt)

– 1 red onion, sliced

– 4 leaves of lettuce

– 4 slices sharp cheddar cheese

– 4 buns, buttered on the inside

– 1/4 cup mayo

– 1 tablespoon ketchup

– 1 teaspoon molasses or maple syrup

– 1 1/2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

Instructions

1-First, mix the ground beef, egg yolk, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and Cajun seasoning in a medium bowl. This helps bind the ingredients while adding moisture and texture.

2-Next, divide the mixture into three equal portions and shape them into patties, making a small indent in the center with your thumb to keep them even during cooking.

3-Preheat your grill or cast iron skillet on medium heat for that perfect sear. Cook the patties for about 4-6 minutes per side until they’re browned and cooked through, which takes just a short time to achieve juicy results.

4-With about 2 minutes left, add the cheese slices on top to let them melt beautifully.

5-Don’t forget to grill the buttered buns, buttered side down, for about one minute to give them a nice toast.

6-In a small bowl, whisk together the mayo, ketchup, molasses or maple syrup, and Cajun seasoning to create a sauce that’s sweet, savory, and a little spicy.

7-Finally, assemble your burgers by layering the cheese, lettuce, red onion, sauce, and patties on the buns for a mouthwatering finish.
