๐Ÿ‰ This Watermelon Slushie recipe offers a hydrating, naturally sweetened refreshment perfect for hot summer days.
๐ŸŒฟ Made with simple, fresh ingredients, it’s easy to prepare and customizable for all taste preferences.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale

10 cups seedless watermelon cubes, frozen for at least 24 hours

2 to 4 tablespoons maple syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference or substitute with another sweetener such as monk fruit sugar or stevia)

Juice of 1 large lime

1/4 cup fresh mint or basil leaves, loosely packed (optional but recommended)

1 1/2 cups filtered water (can substitute with flavored sparkling water for a fizzy version)

Instructions

1-Let the frozen watermelon chunks sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes to partially defrost, helping them blend smoothly.

2-Add the watermelon, maple syrup, lime juice, mint or basil, and water to a high-speed blender to combine all the flavors.

3-Pulse until the watermelon starts to break up, then blend until a thick slushie consistency forms for that ideal icy texture.

4-Adjust the maple syrup to taste, adding more if needed, and add extra water if the texture is too thick to get it just right.

5-Divide into 4 glasses and serve immediately to keep the freshness and chill intact.

Notes

โ„๏ธ Use frozen watermelon cubes to avoid watering down the slushie with extra ice.
๐Ÿน Substitute sparkling water for a fizzy twist or add alcohol to create a cocktail version.
๐Ÿ’ก Adjust sweeteners to taste and consider using stevia or monk fruit for a low-sugar option.
